Thing #2

Library 2.0
“Library 2.0 simply means making your library’s space (virtual and physical) more interactive, collaborative, and driven by community needs. Examples of where to start include blogs, gaming nights for teens, and collaborative photo sites. The basic drive is to get people back into the library by making the library relevant to what they want and need in their daily lives…to make the library a destination and not an afterthought.” ~

This all sounds great, but my concern as we move further and further into a Internet based world is that people who are not technologically savvy will be left behind. We need to bear in mind that some people don't have the ability, language skills or fiances to interact with computers, or in my Mother's case just plain terrified.

WEB 2.0
Well, I think I found the best definition of Web 2.0. "Web 1.0 was commerce. Web 2.0 is people,"~ Ross Mayfield, the CEO of SocialText
